Inference Price Index provides a free, public reference for large language model (LLM) token pricing data. The Service includes:

  • Daily price indices for different model tiers (Frontier, Efficient, Open)
  • Historical pricing data and observations
  • A read-only API for programmatic access
  • Documentation and methodology information

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:

  • Make excessive API requests that could degrade service for others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or conduct attacks
  • Misrepresent the source or nature of the data
  • Use automated tools to scrape the website instead of the API

We reserve the right to rate-limit or block access for users who violate these terms.

4. API Usage

The API is provided free of charge for reasonable use. "Reasonable use" means:

  • Caching responses for at least 60 seconds
  • Not exceeding 100 requests per minute from a single source
  • Including a descriptive User-Agent header when possible

We may introduce authentication or rate limiting in the future for high-volume consumers.

5. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer

While we strive to provide accurate pricing data, the Service is provided for informational purposes only.

  • Pricing data is collected from public sources and may contain errors
  • Data may not reflect real-time pricing or special promotions
  • The Service is NOT financial advice
  • Always verify pricing directly with providers before making decisions

6. Intellectual Property

The pricing data itself is factual information and is not copyrightable. You may freely use, redistribute, and build upon the data.

The website design, documentation, and methodology are owned by Intent Solutions and are protected by copyright. The source code is available under the MIT License on GitHub.

7. Attribution

While not required, we appreciate attribution when you use our data. A link to inferencepriceindex.com is appreciated but not mandatory.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY ACCURATE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTENT SOLUTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FROM RELIANCE ON PRICING DATA.

11. Service Changes and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
